Healthy Autumn Smoothies

Indulge in a nourishing smoothie with recipes full of autumn flavors like apple, pumpkin and banana chai. These smoothies are made with simple ingredients that you can pick up at your local grocery store! Snuggle up by the window on a chilly day or bring it on the go to the library to spice up your studying experience. The warming spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, chai, and ginger can detoxify and brighten your mood. Start the holiday season off right with a healthy autumn smoothie.


Recipe #1 – Cinnamon Apple Smoothie

1 apple, chopped, or 1 cup organic applesauce

1 cup almond milk

1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Very thin slice of fresh ginger

Pinch of nutmeg

Pinch of sea salt

2 tablespoons ground flaxseed or chia seeds

Recipe #2 – Banana Chai Smoothie

2 large ripe bananas, cut into chunks and frozen

2 cups almond milk

2 tablespoons organic maple syrup

1 teaspoon chai spice

2 tablespoons protein powder (vanilla or banana)

1 teaspoon chia seeds

1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Recipe #3 – Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

1/2 cup pure pumpkin puree

1 large banana

6-8 ice cubes

6 oz greek vanilla yogurt

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1 teaspoon honey

3 tablespoons almond milk

Pinch of nutmeg
